ICC Team Rankings for One-Day Internationals and Test Championship has been developed by David Kendix.
A ranking is assigned by splitting the points scored by a played match or complete cricket series total, calculating the answer provided to the closest whole number. It may be compared with the average of batting but with the points created instead of total runs scored by any player and a cricket ODI or test match/series totalling score rather than number of times dismissed.
On completion of every single Test series, the two competing teams gain a specified amount of points, based on a sportive mathematical formula. Each team's newly gained points complete total is divided by the upcoming new match/series total score to assign an updated rating. With batting scoring averages, if a player is dismissed in the next innings for above the previous average, then his average will increase. On the other hand, scoring less runs than the previous average will result it to fall.
